Sometimes I think of my life as a TV series. Not a soapie, 'cause those ones are just absurd. Rather, one of those sometimes funny, sometimes corny, sometimes boring, sometimes annoying, sometimes silly ones. I have good seasons and bad ones. I have my set of regular cast members, my special guest stars, my recurring characters, and some who could have been regulars but somehow ended up getting written out- for the usual reasons, like, career development, issues with the cast and crew, stupid story arcs, death. Ok, maybe not death. No one's died. Let's not get morbid.



I was reading old blogs just now. Watching re-runs, you could say, if we carry on with the TV series theme. Sometimes you have to rewind to figure out what happened and why. Or sometimes you just feel like watching the best episodes again to remember and laugh. Then you get amazed by how the series has developed over the years, when you barely noticed the changes until you watched the re-runs. Well ok, there were some major changes and  of course those were obvious, but it's the little ones that you don't see that actually affect the story more.

So I guess I'm sort of starting a new season at the moment. Or perhaps I'm in mid-season, fresh off a holiday hiatus. Whatever the case, I'm figuring out the plot- playing with the credits, scrapping arcs that don't fit anymore, and making room for better ones.
